Best Albums of 2017

top2017

I guess it’s that time again… for end-of-year music lists! As always, lists are fluid as I spend more time with each album. 2017 will go down as another incredible year. However, this is the first year I never had (nor ended up with) a clear #1, not solid contenders for the top 3 spots. I’d actually say the Top 4 are all interchangeable (especially considering how different they are) – you can say they’re all 4.75 out 5. The remaining top 10 I each rated a 4.5 and I think those are all quite likely to change positions in the next few months as well. High quality music all around.
Total albums listened to: 147

*This will forever go down in history as my least listened to AOTY, because it is just too heartwrenching. It is perhaps the most depressing work of art in history.
**Counting 17 and Revenge (an officially released mixtape) as one because they are under 40 minutes combined and it gives you a more well-rounded picture of his artistic output. There’s a ton of variety between these two releases.
